What do we do?
We are a fundraising & events committee run by parents, family members, and staff who work together to organise and facilitate events that enrich our children’s educational experiences and build a stronger community. Our aim is to raise funds to supplement the school’s funding to provide much-needed resources and activities and to develop a close connection between school, home, and community, by encouraging parental involvement.
How do we raise funds?
Through events like the Halloween Disco, Christmas Fair and Gala Night. As well as ad-hoc fundraising activities.
The Victoria Primary Charitable Trust is the registered charity set up to support Victoria Primary school by raising money to fund projects. All contact and financial information can be found on the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) website Charity number SC045994
Where does the money go to?
We contribute towards the cost of children attending camp, Christmas gifts for P1 and P2, subscriptions to Sumdog and Twinkle, and the purchase of library books and ipads.
The annual budget report will be available here soon and you can learn more about this by attending the monthly meetings.
We host a meeting on the last Tuesday of each month, during which parents can enjoy school updates, sneak peeks into upcoming events, discuss ways to raise much-needed funds for the school and more!

How can I get involved?
All families are automatically members of the Parent Council when their children join our school. We welcome all parents and members of the school community to get involved. Every contribution, big or small, personal or financial, makes a huge difference.
There are lots of ways you can help:
- Come to a meeting
- Join us on Classlist
- Run a stall at an event
- Offer your expertise – for example, baking, event organising, etc.
- Become a Class Admin**
- Volunteer for a role
- Bring family and friends to events and spread the word
** A Class Admin is a parent/carer who volunteers on behalf of their child’s class to help with the coordination of social and fundraising events. If you are unsure of who your class rep is, please ask your class teacher.
How to donate/fundraise?
You can help by making a donation to the Victoria Primary Charitable Trust, more details and fun events to follow. Whatever the size of the donation please be assured it will be greatly valued!
