We have a cooking kitchen and our meals are delicious, providing a quality eating experience for our pupils. Children up to and including P5 are entitled to free school meals, funded by the Scottish Government.
Hot school lunches are available from Monday to Thursday every week, and a packed lunch is available on Fridays.
You will be issued a ParentPay login once your child is enrolled in school, where you can book lunches by the end of Wednesday for the following week or for the whole term too! The kitchen team is looking forward to us developing our kitchen garden since they can then use the fruit, vegetables and herbs in their cooking!
For P6 and P7 students, the cost of each meal is £2.15. Payment should be made through ParentPay or given to class teachers (via your child) on Monday mornings in a sealed envelope with the child’s name on it and the days they wish to take school lunch. You can choose which days your child is going to have school lunch and which days you’d prefer them to have a packed lunch from home.

Milk can also be purchased via ParentPay termly or yearly. Letters asking for milk money are issued at the start of each term. We encourage children to drink water during the day and we ask you to provide them with a water bottle.
Meat products used are not Halal. School kitchens are not equipped to provide gluten-free meals.
The Scottish Government funds universal free school meals for all children in primary 1 to 5. However, this does not automatically entitle you to receive the meal payments during holidays, free milk, clothing grant or child bridging payment, you must meet the income-based eligibility criteria. Further information and an application form can be obtained from the school office. To find out if your child qualifies and how to apply for free school meals, please follow this link.
Menus change very slightly depending on whether it is a winter or summer term. The menu has been prepared in line with the Scottish Executive’s Hungry for Success campaign.
