Who are we?
PTA or Parent Teacher Association is a sub-committee of the Parent Council that works together to organise and facilitate events that enrich our children’s educational experiences and build a stronger community.
We operate as the Victoria Primary Charitable Trust (VPCT), a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) with the registered charity number SC045994 set up in 2015 by the Victoria Primary Parent Council to support Victoria Primary School by raising money to fund projects to support and improve the life and work of the school. The Trust aims to provide resources supplementary to Local Authority funding to advance the educational experiences of children who attend Victoria Primary School and Early Learning and Childcare. We also work closely with the Heart of Newhaven Charity to support our local community.

Meetings
Our next meeting is on Thursday, Sep 7th at 4 pm at the school office, during which parents can enjoy school updates, sneak peeks into upcoming events, discuss ways to raise much-needed funds for the school and more!
This time discussing the upcoming P7 event and also our first movie night of the year.
As always, we need volunteers so please join us.
How can I get involved?

How do we raise funds?
Through events like Movie night, Winter Fayre and Gala Night. As well as ad-hoc fundraising activities.
Where does the money go to?
We have contributed towards the cost of children attending camp, Christmas gifts for nursery, P1, and P2, subscriptions to Sumdog and Twinkle, and the purchase of library books.
