Dear Parents and Carers,

We are delighted to welcome you and your child to our school community and share information with you about our wonderful school and the education your child will receive with us.

Victoria Primary School is a non-denominational and co-educational, catering to a seven-year age range. We also have a nursery for 3-4 years olds and eligible 2s. Currently, we have 336 children on our roll. Classes are arranged by age. At present there are 13 classes, one of which is a composite class.

At Victoria Primary we are a diverse school and pride ourselves on being an inclusive and welcoming learning community where everyone feels valued, respected and involved in the life and learning of our school. We promote positive relationships between home and school and invite our parents and carers into school regularly to attend events across the year to celebrate our learning.

At Victoria we have high expectations in terms of learning and behaviour for all our learners and work in partnership with our parents, local agencies and community to provide the best possible opportunities for all learners so that they can achieve their full potential. Our dedicated staff team are committed to providing a curriculum that is relevant, engaging, motivating and one that provides them with the skills they need for further learning, life and work. 

Our school has served the village of Newhaven since 1844, and we have strong working partnerships with our local community. We have regular visitors from Newhaven who share their skills and expertise with our pupils to enhance our curriculum and provide our children with wider opportunities to learn and develop new skills.

Our school has so much to offer- an exciting curriculum, staff who want the best for the children, Breakfast Club, after school and lunchtime clubs, to name just a few! We want the children in our school to have the education they deserve and the staff work hard alongside each other, families, the local community to achieve that.
