Victoria Primary is a non-denominational co-educational school operated by the City of Edinburgh Council. We provide exceptional education for children from Nursery to Primary 7.

Victoria Early Learning and Childcare
The Early Learning setting is located within the main school, in a dedicated space and surrounding play area. From here, children can interact with the primary school, making the transition much easier.
Victoria Primary School
Founded in 1844, Victoria Primary promotes high standards of achievement for all learners in all aspects of school life. We recognise that children learn best when they feel secure and seen and that they engage most deeply when their senses are awakened.
We focus on developing the whole child, including social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills, all while helping build a love of learning.
Admissions
We are always delighted to welcome new families into the Victoria Community. Children may enter the school at any year level depending on the availability of places.
Our history
Victoria Primary has an interesting history. It has served the village of Newhaven since 1844 and was once located in a different building considered the oldest working school in Edinburgh.
Today the school has a brand new campus that allows us to offer an exceptional learning experience. Our school plays an important part in the life of the community and we are proud of our history and heritage.
