Science Week

Dear Parents and Guardians

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our upcoming Science Week: “The Timeless Voyage,”(11th – 15 March) a celebration of curiosity, exploration, and the wonders of science. This special week is designed to inspire our students by diving into the incredible world of scientific discovery, with a unique twist inspired by the adventurous spirit of time travel.

Science Week is not just an opportunity for our students to learn; it’s an invitation for the whole community to engage with Science Week. To this end, we warmly invite you to participate in this exciting journey in several ways:

Share Your Expertise

If you work in a scientific field or have a passion for science and technology, we would love for you to share your knowledge and experiences with our students. Whether it’s leading a small workshop, giving a talk, or presenting an experiment, your insight would be invaluable in inspiring the next generation of scientists and explorers.

Science at Home

We encourage families to embark on science investigations at home. Engaging in simple experiments, projects, or discussions about science can be a fantastic way to support your child’s learning and curiosity. If you’re looking for ideas or resources, go to https://www.britishscienceweek.org/ for competitions, investigations and experiments and we love for them to share them in school.

How to Get Involved

If you’re interested in contributing to Science Week or would like to share your ideas for home science activities, please contact Norry Leonard at norry.leonard@victoria.edin.sch.uk. We welcome all forms of participation and look forward to hearing from you.

Warm regards
Norry Leonard
